Carrier Contracting

We use two systems to get agents contracted with the carriers: HCMS and SureLC. These two systems are vital to you getting set up properly as an agent with us.

HCMS (short for Hierarchy and Compensation Management System) is an online software that sets up your personal commission level, your upline, and your downline agents correctly with Family First Life.

SureLC (also called SuranceBay) is an online software for you to request appointments with the various carriers available to you through Family First Life.

Here is some helpful info when completing your SureLC:

  • You can NOT create a SureLC account unless you are fully licensed and the license has been active for 72 hours.

  • If you have had a SureLC account with another IMO before, please verify the “Create an Account” page shows FFL Velocity, not the old IMO’s name. Sign up as a new user and use a new email.

CARRIER REQUESTS

Please make sure all of the “My Info” section is completely done before requesting carriers, or it may delay appointments. You must have a current AML/Limra.

Go to “My Appointment Requests” and request the carriers there, filling out anything with a red asterisk.

In SureLC, request these carriers:

It will state “BGA” and then “At Carrier.” Please keep an eye on this process. It should not say “AT PRODUCER“ which means there is still something that you need to do for the contract to be submitted. Please keep in mind, that we cannot see into your SureLC account.

If you click once on the completed carrier request, you may see a note from the carrier. When your request is approved, you will get an email and a welcome letter from each carrier.

HCMS UPDATE

Once you receive that, go back into your HCMS account under “REQUESTS,” select “MISSING CARRIER,” and add your writing numbers into the system.
